8/14/15: Tonight was a good night in Hermiston,OR for Kollin VonAhn and Luke Brown. They won tonight’s performance with a 5.6 plus got a $500 bonus for being the fast time of the night. They had a pretty good run, steer went left a little and Kollin’s horse stayed hooked and he was able to get his job done.

8/14/15: Jade Corkill will be in Huntley, MT open roping tonight 8pm 5 steer go twice for 125$ 100 percent payback

8/8/15: Kollin VonAhn didn’t get anything done at Lawton last night but he’ll be back on the road (not so bright) and early this morning in route to Sikeston, MO for another one.

8/8/15: Dalton Pearce decided to bring Butter to Fiesta. I thought he was just bringing him to get him out around things. Instead he ended up competing on him. They placed 2nd or 3rd in the Ranch Horse Class. This is Butters second time winning a check and his first time staying away from home overnight albeit a box stall.

8/6/15: JoJo LeMond and Dakota Kirchenschlager (on Diesel) turn in the fastest team roping time in the first round so far, a 5.9-second run in Lovington.

7/21/15: Spencer Mitchell is pretty happy with how his mare handled the 2^nd steer on the tough set up at Salinas.

7/21/15: Spencer Mitchell didn’t do any good in the average, but placed in two of the rounds and his horse worked great. Now him and his partner are off to Ogden, Spanish Fork, Salt Lake and then Cheyenne!

6/1/15: Stalls for The Reno Rodeo Barrel race are available on a first come first serve basis at the Livestock Events Center. However please share this information. NO TRAILERS – none – not even the rodeo contestants are permitted to drop a trailer on grounds overnight. Come on put your horse up and trailers must be parked off grounds overnight. Your trailer can be on grounds if you are competing but no camping no over night parking. This is strictly enforced by the Reno Rodeo Committee. It is highly recommended if you stay in your living quarters please make prior arrangements for the nights you will be here.

5/28/15: Dakota Kirchenschlager left the house yesterday to start his summer run. He will now be heeling for Jojo Lemond. Their second rodeo together was last night in Hugo, OK. They were 3.6 and leading when they left. Now they are on to the next one.

5/6/15: A cowboy is only as good as the horse he rides. Heeler, Jade Corkill’s horse, Switchblade, is 21 years old and Jade says,”He hates when you tie him up. He’ll get untied unless I use a chain and snap. I spoil him by doing everything I can to keep him sound and healthy and letting him do pretty much whatever he wants that I wouldn’t let others get away with. He loves his grain and he loves heeling steers!”

2/20/15: Today was a very sad day at Phillip Ralls Performance Horses. Rest in Peace Very Smart Smoke. Smokee was Phillip Ralls very first Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Finalist and a unbelievable competitor. He was a true warrior with $140,000 in earnings. We will miss seeing him every morning and all the amazing rides he and Phillip shared. He will always be one of the most amazing horses Phillip has rode. RIP big guy.
